Okay, so we are studying an eukaryotic gene and when we remove a region of DNA several 1000 bases upstream, the transcription rates decreases. So how do we interpret these results? Or we have to think about what kinds of regions because of removed to. So we could have removed obviously the coding region posing region and the promoter.
