So this question is grammatical questions about sentence structure. And so the underlined phrase includes a period between the last two between two sentences to the first sentence of the passage, and we want to make sure each sentence is complete or is an independent clause. So here both sentences are complete and correct with a subject and verb. Uh, so choice A would be correct. We don't have to change anything..

So here I have two lists of numbers once a sequence and one is a series. The top one which is a sequence is simply an ordered list of numbers and that can just go from 123456 often to infinity. And this is just an example sequence is any order number, so I can have 1/2 1/4, 1 of our eight, 1/16, and then just keep increasing from there. Um And then here the next one we have a series, which a series is just a summation of an ordered list. So we have one plus two plus three plus four plus five plus, you know, often to infinity.

And here over on the right, we have this little simple, this little fancy looking E. That's a summation simple. That's telling us that we are summing up the numbers and it's just an example of how to write this series down. Now, if we look at part B, we have the difference between a convergent and divergent series. A convergent series.

Is it simply a series that equals a finite number? So if we sum up all the numbers, it should equal a single value. For example, the summation of one over N squared With plugging in the values of n equals one. And then often to infinity Equals approximately 1.6449. A divergent series is a series that does not converge to a finite number. So for example, in this series I gave above, which is the summation of end.

So we plug in one to start, then plus two for N equals two and then plus three for N equals three. Up into infinity. That's what that infinity symbols up above the summation symbol we have that. It equals infinity. Which makes sense.

If I take one and then add to that. I had three, then I had four, then I had five. And I keep adding larger and larger numbers that will go off into infinity..

Question number two. Here we start at the beginning. When Kristen Harris was in college, she worked in her university's library and was constantly told, You really should be studying to be a library in this is your home. However, Harris was pursuing a bachelor's degree that that that that that So we're clearly looking at this connection between home and however, and I'll just cut us off at the end of the sentence here home. And however I know that because what they're missing with is Do I want to connect those with nothing, like in the original? Do I want to use comma period and a semi colon or just a period? Um, so couple things.

The word, however, is always a nice trigger, however, is either going to come after a period or a semi colon. Those were grammatically identical. The period in the semi colon, um, or it's going to be encased by two commas, meaning that it's either going to start a new thought, a new independent clause or full sentence, or it's going to be a little parenthetical like. She decided, however, that instead she was going to LA, blah, blah, blah, blah. Um, in this case, I can just kind of eliminates, um, answers based on that simple little principle here, this single comma in the second answer choices No good.

A double period in semicolon. That's absurd. If you see anything like that usually double semicolons to our signs of incorrect answers, So I would get rid of that the original. Now we're playing with either heading straight into however, or going with a period, you might notice when you read this sentence all the way through notice how massive this sentences, which typically means we're going to need to stop somewhere in there. Um, if we want to test it out to make sure that period is the best answer, we know that we're looking for a full sentence on either side of that period.

If each one of those could stand alone, you're in business. So if we test that out on the on the left side of that moment here we have. When Kristen Harris was in college, she worked in her university's library and was constantly told, You should really be studying to be a librarian. This is your home, period. On the other side, we have, however, Harris was pursuing ah bachelor's degree in elementary education at the time.

So first question. Do those work? Yes, they dio. Those could both stand alone. I also noticed, as I was reading one extra difference between the answer choices. It's not just this punctuation.

It's this one as well. And I can ask myself, What's that comma doing there? It's following the comma rule where we put commas after transition words. That's one of the little common rules that the S A T will get at. So this final answer choice is doing that. It's separating our two full thoughts, that massive sentence into to full thoughts.

And it's the only one that's correctly adding that comma after the transition word no changes a run on. We don't like that. We need to stop, so we'll go with this final answer choice. Okay,.

So this grammatical question is about punctuation, and we want to make sure that punctuation follows the correct grammar rules. Eso if we look at the underlying passage, we actually don't need a comma because we wouldn't normally pause at that point of the passage. So since it is a necessary, we're going to go with an answer choice that eliminates tach, um, calm or any punctuation, which is J so answer. Choice Jay is correct, and the reason is no punctuation..
